Day 1 : Fes – Ifran – Azrou – Midlet – Arfoud – Merzouga
2 day from Fes to Merzouga, In the morning around 08:00, you’ll start traveling southeast to Merzouga via Azrou and Errachidia. Your first stop will be at Ifran, referred to as “the Switzerland of Morocco“, and then to Merzouga via Midlet and the Ziz Valley. During this journey you’ll experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains. Stopping at the famous cedar forest – the largest in Morocco – where you may well sight Barbarian apes. You’ll notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city Er Rachidia. After lunch , your journey continues along the luxuriant Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views along the way. We will drive through welcoming Berber villages to Rissani, the foundation of the Alaouite dynasty – the current ruling royal family in Morocco. Arriving in Merzouga at the end of the day, you’ll be welcomed with a glass of mint tea before you check in to your riad. after relaxing few minuts in Merzouga,we go to the camels who are waiting to take us on an adventure in the sand dunes. We will spend the night in an equipped camp with
drums music in the middle of the Sahara, we go to a high dunes to see the sunset , we will spend the night in nomad tents.
Day 2 : Merzouga – Errachidia – Ziz Valley – Fes.
Early in the morning, your camel guide will wake you up to watch what well may be the best sunrise of your life. Afterward you will trek back to the village of Merzouga, enroute you couldn’t fail to appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi sand dunes – changing with the light as the day progresses. After breakfast in your riad, you’ll leave for Fes via Errachidia and Ziz Valley ending in Fes.

1 night in a Camel trips luxury camp - We were on a 3 days tour and spent the last night in the luxury camp in the middle of Merzouga desert. The place was really nice, our personal tent... read more was huge, the bed was clean and comfortable, hot water, WiFi, electricity - everything you need! The dinner was very tasty, and we were particularly touched by a hearty welcome of the camp owners, who also played us their traditional music the whole evening. The only drawback was the lack of time. I recommend to stay there at least for two nights to enjoy fully the sun rises and the suns sets.
